I appreciate your website very much. Recently my son (16) has found out that his dad has a drinking problem. We try to talk more about addiction so he will understand. Do you have any other suggestions for prevention and teaching my son?

I suggest you take a look at the website http://www.drugfree.org/. There are a lot of resources on that site and I think they do a great job helping people understanding the recent brain science that we've used to better understand addiction.
