Below are the private and public organizations that have partnered with ParentsEmpowered in the effort to eliminate underage drinking. Bear River Health Department

The Bear River Health Department is the local substance abuse authority for Cache, Rich, and Box Elder counties. Our mission is threefold: preventing and controlling disease and disability; protecting the individual, community, and environment; and promoting, maintaining, and improving healthy lifestyles.

The Bear River Health Department provides substance abuse prevention services to the citizens of these three counties through school-based programs, family interventions, environmental strategies, and community partnerships. Bear River’s prevention staff utilizes the Strategic Prevention Framework to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate effective prevention strategies to decrease risk and increase protection-to ultimately reduce alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse and misuse across all ages.

Davis Helps

Davis HELPS is a coalition comprised of community agencies and members who strive to address public health and safety concerns in Davis County. One of our goals is to reduce alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes. ParentsEmpowered.org is a Davis partnership helping to educate parents on the dangers of underage drinking.

First Lady of Utah - Jeanette Herbert

The Utah Office of The First Lady is proud to support the mission of ParentsEmpowered.org. It has been an ongoing goal of the First Lady to protect Utah's children.  The Office of The First Lady aims to provide Utah parents with proven skills to help keep children alcohol-free and protect them from the dangerous effects of underage drinking and other self-destructive behaviors. Through the joint efforts of ParentsEmpowered.org and the Office of The First Lady, Utah will work to eliminate underage drinking.

Four Corners Community Behavioral Health

Four Corners Community Behavioral Health is the local substance abuse authority for Carbon, Emery and Grand counties. The Mission of Four Corners Community Behavioral Health, Inc. is to offer highly responsive and effective mental health and substance abuse services to the residents and communities of Carbon, Emery and Grand Counties.  Four Corners Community Behavioral Health works in cooperation with numerous community, state and national groups, government agencies, advocacy organizations and others to provide available information, resource referrals, support, education and updates about mental health and substance abuse research and practices.  Four Corners Community Behavioral Health provides substance abuse prevention services to the citizens of these three counties through, community partnerships, school and community based programs, family interventions and environment strategies.  The staff at Four Corners utilizes the Strategic Prevention Framework to assess, plan, implement and evaluate effective prevention strategies to decrease risk factors and increase protective factors..

Northeastern Counseling Center

 Northeastern Counseling Center provides mental health, substance abuse treatment and prevention  services for Duchesne, Uintah and Daggett Counties.  Our prevention team is eager to provide ParentsEmpowered presentations, along with other prevention presentations.  All preventions presentations  are available to local schools, churches, businesses and other organizations. 

Salt Lake City Mayor's Coalition

The mission of the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Coalition on Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs, is to reduce substance use and abuse among youth and adults.

Through the collaboration of our diverse membership, we advocate for evidence-based practices and guide the development of policy and legislation, thereby creating a community where effective education, prevention, treatment, recovery and justice are provided without stigma.

Salt Lake City Police Department (SLCPD)

Salt Lake City Police Department is in full support of the mission and goals of ParentsEmpowered.org. Through press events and law enforcement activities, they work to provide a safer Utah community. Underage drinking is against the law. SLPD believes that through parental influence and community support, underage drinking can be eliminated.

Salt Lake County Sanitation

The mission of Salt Lake County Sanitation is to provide quality garbage and recycling collection services for the health and safety of our community. We are the garbage and recycling collectors for Salt Lake County Special Sanitation District No. 1. We collect from residents in the unincorporated counties of Herriman, Taylorsville, Holladay, Cottonwood Heights, and parts of Murray. The partnership with ParentsEmpowered.org is a special prevention effort, to take messages about the dangers of underage drinking to the residents of Salt Lake County. We believe in the mission to eliminate underage drinking.

Summit Valley Mental Health

The Summit Unit of Valley Mental Health is a behavioral healthcare provider for Summit County residents. It specializes in mental health, substance abuse and prevention services. The Prevention Team supports the ParentsEmpowered.org campaign by providing resources to schools and the community about the harmful effects of underage drinking and the proven skills to prevent it.

The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (DABC)

Utah's DABC is the primary lead on the ParentsEmpowered effort. Their response to the social need for a state alcohol prevention initiative is a direct result of the states, responsible nature concerning alcohol sales. Educational DABC directors stand at the helm of the prevention efforts for the ParentsEmpowered campaign.

The Utah Council for Crime Prevention

The Utah Council for Crime Prevention is an enthusiastic supporter of the ParentsEmpowered Campaign. UCCP has used these popular ParentsEmpowered ads and collateral to engage students as part of its annual Power of Prevention conference. We are grateful to the campaign for providing another arrow in the quiver that supports prevention, and trust that these messages have made a difference in the lives of hundreds of Utah families.

The Utah Office of Ethnic Affairs (OEA)

Research indicates that embracing cultural diversity is an integral part of a healthy economy. Projections on Utah demographics clearly show this state's workforce will have a large percentage of ethnic workers in the near future.  The Office of Ethnic Affairs (OEA) has promoted policies that support attitudes, behaviors, and skills necessary for state employees to work respectfully and effectively in a culturally diverse society. ParentsEmpowered.org's multicultural component provides materials to the OEA on prevention measures parents can take to eliminate underage drinking. 

Tooele Valley Mental Health

Tooele Valley Mental Health provides prevention and education services and programs based on the Risk and Protective Factor model, and best practices developed by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. We aim to identify risks for substance abuse and violence and develop resiliency through healthy life skills. Our prevention programs address specific needs of communities through school- and family- based approaches.

Utah Attorney General's Office

The Utah Attorney General's Office is proud to support the efforts of ParentsEmpowered.org. It has long been the goal of the Attorney General's Office to protect those in Utah who face the greatest risk, and there are none more vulnerable than our children. Through the efforts of ParentsEmpowered.org we are teaching parents the skills they need to be the best defense against alcohol addiction and abuse. With these skills, parents are truly empowered to be a strong shoulder for their children to lean on during their most important developmental years.

Utah Behavioral Healthcare Network Prevention Committee

The Utah Behavioral Healthcare Network Prevention Committee is a strategic partner to ParentsEmpowered.org. Several of the prevention messages focusing on the dangers of underage drinking and the proven skills to prevent it are recommended and supported by this organization. Their endless efforts to help prevent underage drinking are appreciated greatly by ParentsEmpowered.org.

Utah Department of Health

The mission of the Utah Department of Health is to protect the public's health through preventing avoidable illness, injury, disability and premature death; assuring access to affordable, quality health care; and promoting healthy lifestyles. ParentsEmpowered.org is a program that is fully endorsed by the Utah Department of Health. The prevention messages and parental tactics remain consistent with the treatment measures of the Utah Department of Health.

Utah Department of Public Safety

The mission of the Utah Department of Public Safety is to provide effective communications support for public safety agencies; provide useful communications services for the public; and effectively manage the state's public safety communications resources. The Department of Public Safety believes in the mission of ParentsEmpowered.org and any measures created to help protect children from the dangers of underage drinking.

Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health

The Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health are key players in Utah's plan to eliminate underage drinking. The Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health is the state agency responsible for ensuring that prevention and treatment services for substance abuse and mental health are available statewide. If you, a friend, or family member is struggling with a mental health problem or a problem with alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs, there is help available. Hope and recovery are possible.

Utah Juvenile Courts

Utah Juvenile Courts intervene with several youth and legal guardians every year. They provide programs, treatment, and solutions to help youth and families find the right legal directions for their lives. ParentsEmpowered.org is proud to have them as a supporting partner. Judge Valdez of the juvenile court, an active voice with the campaign, ha said, "ParentsEmpowered.org is a necessary program that is helping to educate parents, therefore youth, on the dangers of underage drinking and the lasting consequences."

Utah State Office of Education - Safe and Drug-Free Schools

The mission of the Utah State Office of Education/Safe and Drug-Free Schools is to give students a strong foundation of effective violence and substance abuse prevention skills. ParentsEmpowered.org provides lessons and advice to parents in helping their kids stay alcohol-free. Utah Substance Abuse and Anti-Violence (USAAV)

The Mission of the Utah Substance Abuse and Anti-Violence Coordinating Council is to provide a unified voice for the establishment of a comprehensive strategy to combat substance abuse, illegal drug activity, and violence.

Weber Human Services

Weber Human Services supports ParentsEmpowered by providing underage drinking prevention awareness presentations to parents, businesses and organizations in our local community as well as providing information booths at school and community events. We utilize our Youth Council and Peer Leaders to organize and facilitate ParentsEmpowered events in their schools.
